🌱 Climate Resilient Communities (CRC) is a volunteer-run project operating under Transition Toronto. We help marginalized communities build climate resilience, leveraging data & AI to transform climate anxiety into effective action.
🌻 Current projects include a youth data literacy workshop program, a community adaptation capacity building workshop program, a multilingual AI chatbot for accessible climate information, and a youth climate anxiety detection project to provide timely mental health supports and interventions.
Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per week based on project needs and flexibility
What you’ll be doing:
● Develop and implement community engagement strategies to build relationships and mobilise community support
● Organise and facilitate community events and workshops
● Foster partnerships with local organisations and community groups
Ideal skill set:
● Experience in community outreach and engagement
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills
● Ability to organise events and manage volunteers
● Interest in climate resilience and social justice initiatives
